· Have you ever met someone that you could tell was a Christian by first impression? Do you think you are easily recognizable as a Christian? Why or why not?
· Modern Christianity tends to value ‘blending in’ more than standing out– agree or disagree? Why or why not?

i met a girl on her blog (amazima.org/blog.html) katie, who i instantly knew was a christian. { i have a hard time using that word so many people use it so loosely.} she is a true follower of jesus christ, living out his will for her life. katie is in her 20s living on her own in uganda, raising 14 girls and feeding hundreds of orphans. she felt jesus calling her and acted upon it and although it broke many hearts (her family and her boyfriend) she went. i enjoy reading her blog and seeing how jesus is using her in a mighty way.
ReplyDeletei agree with the statement that modern christianity tends to value blending in more than standing out but I DO NOT THINK that is what god intended for us as believers. we are called to be set apart and not of this world. i think people have become so tolerant of sin. lets call sin what it is, SIN. i DO NOT WANT TO BLEND IN. i pray for boldness, love, grace and humility and hope that when people first meet me they will see the MIGHTY LOVE OF JESUS!
