· Have you ever been influenced in either a positive or negative way concerning your relationship with Jesus? How does this influence your behavior now?
· How much responsibility do you think Christians have to live a particular way?
Instead of all the crazy links to a separate page for each color group, you can answer your questions by either:
a) going over to the Facebook Discussion boards and finding your group's discussion for week 2
b) commenting below and letting us know which group you're in within your post
c) blogging on your own blog and leaving the link below
This should make finding each other's replies a little simpler. If it doesn't work for you, let me know and we'll go back to the original way.

ReplyDeleteHappy week 2! Love Gretchen H (green group).
Hello all, here's my heart
ReplyDelete1. i think when i was a new believer i was negatively influenced by others. I would give other christians too much power. i would think well if they are doing such and such, why can't i? needless to say, as soon as i take my eyes of God, everything falls apart. nowadays i have just a couple amazing friends who are always influencing me towards "the prize" and are not scared to tell me hey lauren you are taking your focus off God. i have to remember to pick up my cross DAILY, forget things of this world, and keep my whole being, everything i have in me, focused on Jesus. it sounds so easy when i write it, but some days are tuff.
2. i think as christians we have a huge responsibility to live a particular way. we are His hands and feet. i totally believe in lifestyle evangelism and think that we are the plan of God and are His ambassadors. He is worthy of my praise and adoration all the time and i hope to be spurring others towards love always. Yeah, i fail but i pray i can see everyone through God's eyes and that when people look at my life i hope they see God.
I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone else but i pray today that we can all "let our good deeds shine for all to see, so that everyone will praise our Father in heaven," Matt 5:16

ReplyDeleteBeautifully said, Lauren! I'd never heard the term "lifestyle evangelism", but it's exactly being the hands & feet of Jesus. And...life is tuff--we need Him to fill us daily!
ReplyDeleteyes! Lauren! Totally 'lifestyle evangelism'!!! What a great way to put it! So glad you're Backpacking with us!
